What's Coming Up?

Open Door Pantry Food Drive

With the holidays just around the corner, we are gearing up to help The Open Door Food Pantry by organizing a food collection site to benefit people right in our community.

Many families and individuals continue to make difficult choices between paying for rent, utilities, medical care and food when their resources run out before the end of the month.

This holiday season, you can help The Open Door Food Pantry serve our neighbors in need by sending a bag of food to our school.  Our school goal is to collect 100 pounds of food.

Items most needed:
peanut butter, canned meat, healthy snacks, 100% juice, cereal, hearty soups, canned fruits and vegetables, spaghetti squash, mac and cheese, rice and pasta, baking items. (No glass please!)

Collection will take place at Beeman School on November 15, 2017.

  • Fifth Grade Visits O'Maley School Our fifth grade took a trip to O’Maley Middle School on Wednesday, January 18. The visit was the first chance for the students to explore the school. They chatted with several older students about their SAILS program. The SAILS program promotes building a respectful community through Service, Acceptance, Integrity, Leadership and Success. The students participated in some team building activities. They had an opportunity to use one of the lower-level STEM Labs. The students built small wooden paddleboats. After some discussion about the science behind the ships, they raced them against each other. All in all it was a fun, successful and informative first visit

  • Concert of Peace and Friendship Beeman recently held their Concert of Peace and Friendship. The students had practiced with Ms. Goldberg for weeks preparing for the event. Each grade had a chance to step on stage and perform. A performance was given for families of grades K - 2 and another performance for the families of grades 3 - 5. A third performance was given for just the students. All students in grades K - 5 gathered together and performed their songs for each other. Third grade even had a chance to show off their recorder skills.
