On Tuesday, June 7, Beeman held its Living Blue Demonstration Night. Students had the opportunity to show their families what they have been up to in school. Our theme this year was 'Make the World a Better Place' taken from the inspirational book, Only One You, by Linda Kranz. Beeman's art teacher, Ms. Pierterse, filled the hallways with beautiful student artwork. We had the chance to meet and chat with the author, Linda Kranz.  During the day Ms. Kranz met with grade levels. Students picked her brain about how she became an author. Ms. Kranz also held a book signing. A big thank you to NOAA for once again sharing their knowledge of the ocean and hands-on materials. A representative from UNICEF also attended. Students have been earning food packets for children in need around the world. They had a chance to meet with the representative and discover more about how their packets helped make the world a better place. The evening ended with a dedication of our new garden space. (Thank you to the Low family for all the hard work on completing the garden!)
