Fifth Grade Visits O'Maley SchoolOur fifth grade took a trip to O’Maley Middle
School on Wednesday, January 18. The visit was the first chance for the
students to explore the school. They chatted with several older students about
their SAILS program. The SAILS program promotes building a respectful
community through Service, Acceptance, Integrity, Leadership and Success. The
students participated in some team building activities. They had an
opportunity to use one of the lower-level STEM Labs. The students built small
wooden paddleboats. After some discussion about the science behind the ships,
they raced them against each other. All in all it was a fun, successful and
informative first visit

Concert of Peace and FriendshipBeeman recently held their Concert of Peace and Friendship. The students had practiced with Ms. Goldberg for weeks preparing for the event. Each grade had a chance to step on stage and perform. A performance was given for families of grades K - 2 and another performance for the families of grades 3 - 5. A third performance was given for just the students. All students in grades K - 5 gathered together and performed their songs for each other. Third grade even had a chance to show off their recorder skills.

She is very educated on this subject (funding options, processes, etc.) and would like to attend future PTO meetings in order to keep us up to date on what she’s learning and what we can do as a Beeman community to make sure ...
